Ep.141 Milla Budiarto from Phuket Women's Support Group

In Ep. 141 Jay Leshark talks to the truly awesome Milla Budiarto who set up the Phuket Women's Peer Support Group. Indonesian Milla arrived in Phuket 10 years ago to train Muay Thai and fell in love with Phuket. In this special episode, Milla talks openly about mental health and why she set up the Phuket Women's Peer Support Group. She talks candidly about her own experiences with trauma and talks about trigger warnings for sexual assault, depression, and self-harm. Milla has also organized mental health talks with the next one being on the 3rd of December at Headstart International School. Milla is a beautiful person, and truly awesome.

Just on a side, but a VERY important note. If you are suffering from any mental health issues, worried about life, feeling down, depressed, or just feeling overwhelmed or anxious then please reach out to someone. There are many of us out there that need to talk, and with groups like the Phuket Women's Peer Support Group out there, you have people who you can talk to, that will understand, listen, and are there to help. It’s not a bad thing to ask for help or even just TALK, and yes it’s easy for people like me to say it and I do 100% understand, trust me I do I have been there, in fact, I am there every day so I know how you feel, but do it, talk to someone.
